LABOR / EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS ATTORNEY
Amy Carlson is a partner in Employment Rights Attorneys. She provides advice and representation to clients in labor and employment disputes such as wage-hour litigation, breach of contract, employee rights, fraud, non-compete litigation, civil litigation, claims of discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, family medical leave violations, and retaliation.
Ms. Carlson is the 2015 Chair of the Labor and Employment Section of the Santa Clara County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Judiciary Committee and Civil Practice Committee. She is a member of the Labor/Employment Law Section of the California Bar. She is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association and the National Employers Association.
Ms. Carlson received her Juris Doctorate from the California Western School of Law, San Diego, California in 2000. She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of California, San Diego.
After law school Ms. Carlson moved from San Diego to San Jose, California to work as a staff attorney at Farmers Insurance Exchange. At Farmers, she gained valuable trial experience independently tring seven jury trials. After Farmers she went to Hinkle, Jachimowicz, Pointer & Emanuel where she handled personal injury cases and eventually began representing employees in various employment cases.
In 2009, Ms. Carlson joined Williams, Pinelli & Cullen to represent employees in their various claims including whistleblower, wage and hour, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Ms. Carlson brings her thorough litigation experience to her work as a labor and employment rights attorney, defending the rights of employees and small business owners in the workplace.
